License to Publish

TATANAN: Jurnal Hukum dan Syariah is published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.

Authors retain the copyright to their work. Users may read, copy, and distribute the work in any medium or format, provided that appropriate credit is given to the authors and the journal. The following sections set out the terms of the publication agreement between the authors and the journal.

1. License

Authors who publish with TATANAN: Jurnal Hukum dan Syariah agree to the following terms:

• Authors retain copyright to their work and grant TATANAN: Jurnal Hukum dan Syariah the right of first publication.
• The work is simultaneously licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0) license.
• This license permits others to share the work by copying and redistributing it in any medium or format, and to adapt it by remixing, transforming, or building upon it for any purpose, including commercial purposes.
• Such use must acknowledge the authorship of the work and its initial publication in TATANAN: Jurnal Hukum dan Syariah, provide a link to the license, and indicate whether changes have been made. Adapted material must be distributed under the same license.

2. Author's Warranties

The author warrants that:

• The article is original and has been written by the author(s) identified in the manuscript.
• The article has not been published previously.
• The article contains no unlawful statements and does not infringe the rights of any third party.
• The author(s) hold the copyright or otherwise have the necessary rights to submit and publish the article under the terms of this agreement.
• All necessary written permissions to quote or reproduce material from other sources have been obtained where required.

3. User Rights

Under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license, users are permitted to share, copy, distribute, and transmit the published contribution in any medium or format, subject to the terms of the license.

Users may also adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the work for any purpose, including commercial purposes, provided that appropriate attribution is given, a link to the license is included, any changes are indicated, and adaptations are distributed under the same license.

4. Rights of Authors

Authors retain the following rights:

1. Copyright and other proprietary rights relating to the article, including patent rights where applicable.
2. The right to use the substance of the article in their future works, including lectures and books.
3. The right to reproduce the article for their own purposes, provided that the copies are not offered for sale.
4. The right to self-archive the article in accordance with the applicable license and relevant journal policies.

5. Co-Authorship

If the article has been prepared jointly with other authors, the person signing this agreement warrants that they have been authorized by all co-authors to sign on their behalf. The signatory also agrees to inform all co-authors of the terms and conditions of this agreement.

6. Termination

Either party may terminate this agreement by giving two months' notice if the other party has materially breached the agreement and has failed to remedy the breach within one month after receiving written notice requesting that it be remedied.

No breach or violation of this agreement shall automatically terminate any license already granted under it or otherwise affect the validity of the applicable Creative Commons license.

7. Royalties

This agreement does not entitle the author to royalties or other fees from the journal for publication of the article. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the author waives any right to collect royalties in connection with the use of the article by TATANAN: Jurnal Hukum dan Syariah or its sublicensees, as covered by this agreement.

8. Miscellaneous

TATANAN: Jurnal Hukum dan Syariah will publish, or arrange for the publication of, the article provided that the editorial process has been successfully completed and the journal has undertaken to publish the article.

The journal reserves the right to make editorial changes to punctuation, spelling, capitalization, and style to ensure consistency, provided that such changes do not improperly alter the scholarly substance of the article.

The author acknowledges and agrees that the article will be made publicly accessible free of charge to readers. The journal also reserves the right to grant sublicenses for rights conferred upon it under this agreement, to the extent permitted by the applicable license and relevant law.
