Author Guidelines

General Information

Submitted manuscripts must be original, have not been previously published in any scientific journal, and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors must not submit the manuscript to another publication during the review process unless the manuscript has been officially withdrawn from DIMENSI: Jurnal Sains dan Teknologi. This declaration must be included in the Statement of Originality and Copyright Release Form (Form A). DIMENSI uses Similarity Check powered by Turnitin to identify potential plagiarism and excessive textual similarity.
Submitted manuscripts must report research conducted in accordance with applicable research ethics and must not violate relevant bioethical principles. Research involving human participants, animals, or other ethically sensitive subjects must comply with applicable ethical standards and approval requirements.
DIMENSI: Jurnal Sains dan Teknologi is published twice a year.

Manuscript Preparation Guidelines

Manuscripts must be written in English using clear, accurate, and standard scientific language. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts professionally edited before submission.
Manuscripts must be prepared using Microsoft Word. Graphs may be prepared using Microsoft Excel, while figures should be submitted in an appropriate high-quality image format, such as JPEG, or in PDF format when suitable.
Manuscripts must use the font type, font size, spacing, and other formatting requirements specified in the official DIMENSI manuscript template. Authors should not interpret the original instruction of “Cambria fonts at 1 point” as a valid font-size requirement; the final font size must be confirmed in the journal template.
Manuscripts should generally be approximately 9–15 pages on A4 paper, subject to the journal's official template. The original formatting specifications state the following margins: top 2.5 cm, left 2.5 cm, right 2 cm, and bottom 2 cm. The manuscript uses a single-column layout, justified alignment, and single spacing unless otherwise specified in the official template. The main sections comprise Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion and Suggestions, Acknowledgment, and References, as applicable to the type of article.
The manuscript title must be concise, informative, and representative of the manuscript's content.
Authors' names must be written below the title, followed by their institutional affiliations and email addresses. The author order should reflect the contributions agreed upon by all authors.
The abstract must be written in English and provide a concise representation of the manuscript. It should describe the research objectives, methods, and principal findings. Authors must follow the abstract length and formatting requirements specified in the official template.
Authors are encouraged to use appropriate reporting guidelines according to their research design, including STROBE for observational studies, SRQR for qualitative studies, PRISMA for systematic reviews, CARE for case reports, and CONSORT for clinical trials, where applicable.
Keywords must consist of words or phrases that are important, specific, and representative of the manuscript's subject. Authors should follow the number and formatting of keywords specified in the official template.
References and in-text citations must follow the APA 7th edition style, unless otherwise stated in the official DIMENSI author guidelines.
The original guideline recommends using journal and non-journal references published within the previous six years. Authors should prioritize recent, relevant, and credible scholarly sources while retaining older seminal works when necessary to support the theoretical or methodological foundation of the study.
Manuscripts must follow the official DIMENSI: Jurnal Sains dan Teknologi manuscript template. The template must be obtained from the journal's official website or editorial office.
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal's Open Journal Systems (OJS). Authors must register for an account by selecting Register if they do not already have an account, or select Log In if they have previously registered. The accepted file format must follow the requirements stated in the submission system and official template.
The corresponding author must complete all author information in the OJS submission metadata, including each author's full name, email address, institutional affiliation, and short biography in the Bio Statement field. For manuscripts with multiple authors, the corresponding author must select Add Author in the metadata submission step and enter the information for each author accurately.
All correspondence, editorial information, and decisions concerning submitted manuscripts are communicated through the email address provided in the submission metadata and/or the email address used during submission. Authors can check their manuscript status by logging in to the journal's OJS.
