HAKIKI: Jurnal Integrasi dan Studi Islam is a peer-reviewed scholarly journal committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and preventing all forms of publication malpractice. This statement applies to authors, editors, reviewers, editorial board members, and the publisher, and is based on the principles and best-practice guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). The journal follows internationally recognized standards of scholarly publishing ethics and internationally accepted article retraction guidelines.

Ethical Principles

The publication of articles in this journal represents an important contribution to the development of knowledge. All parties involved in the publication process are required to uphold integrity, transparency, fairness, and academic responsibility. The publisher and editorial board ensure that editorial decisions are free from commercial, political, or personal influence.

Responsibilities of Editors

Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on the basis of academic quality, originality, relevance, and clarity, without discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion, nationality, or institutional affiliation. Editors are responsible for maintaining manuscript confidentiality, avoiding conflicts of interest, and ensuring that all manuscripts are reviewed by competent reviewers before publication decisions are made. If ethical misconduct is suspected, editors will conduct an investigation and take appropriate action, including correction or retraction of the article when necessary.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

Reviewers assist editors in making publication decisions and in improving the quality of manuscripts. Reviewers are required to conduct reviews objectively, maintain manuscript confidentiality, avoid conflicts of interest, provide constructive feedback, and identify relevant references as well as possible ethical violations such as plagiarism or duplicate publication.

Responsibilities of Authors

Authors are required to submit original work, report research methods and results accurately, acknowledge all relevant sources, and avoid plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, and duplicate submission. Authorship must reflect significant scholarly contributions, and all authors must approve the final version of the manuscript. Authors are also required to disclose any conflicts of interest, obtain the necessary ethical approval for research involving humans or animals, and cooperate fully during the review process. If a significant error is discovered after publication, authors must promptly inform the journal and cooperate in issuing a correction or retraction.

Responsibilities of the Publisher

The publisher works together with the editorial team to address suspected ethical violations, maintain the integrity of the scholarly record, and ensure the long-term preservation and accessibility of published articles through appropriate digital archiving and preservation systems.

Peer Review Policy

All manuscripts submitted to HAKIKI: Jurnal Integrasi dan Studi Islam will undergo a double-blind peer review process by at least two independent reviewers. Editorial decisions may include acceptance, acceptance with revision, or rejection based on originality, scholarly quality, relevance, and compliance with publication ethics. Simultaneous submission of the same manuscript to another journal is strictly prohibited.
