Literasi Keuangan Syariah dan Perilaku Keuangan Generasi Muda Muslim di Era Digital
Isi Artikel Utama
Abstrak
Purpose: This article examines how Sharia financial literacy shapes the financial behavior of young Muslims in a digital environment. The discussion focuses on consumption, budgeting, saving, Sharia-compliant investment, digital payments, financing, fintech use, and the ability to distinguish financial convenience from decisions that are ethically and contractually consistent with Islamic principles.
Design/Methodology: The study uses an integrative literature review based on 15 peer-reviewed publications issued between 2022 and 2026, all with verifiable Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs). The evidence is organized around Islamic financial knowledge, digital financial literacy, financial behavior, lifestyle, financial socialization, trust, religious orientation, information access, and adoption of Sharia digital financial services among students, Generation Z, and other young-adult groups.
Findings: The synthesis shows that Sharia financial literacy is more consistently associated with responsible financial behavior when knowledge is translated into practical routines. Young Muslims need not only to recognize riba, gharar, maysir, contracts, and Sharia products, but also to budget, verify digital information, assess fees and risk, protect personal data, compare alternatives, and resist consumption or financing that conflicts with their goals. Digital access can strengthen good behavior, but it can also amplify impulsive spending and weak decisions when literacy, security awareness, and self-control are limited.
Practical Implications: Universities, Islamic financial institutions, and youth organizations should move beyond seminar-based literacy. Programs should use decision cases, transaction reviews, budgeting exercises, contract comparison, digital-security practice, saving goals, investment screening, and financing simulations. Evaluation should measure behavior and decision quality, not merely knowledge scores or the number of financial applications used.
Originality/Value: The article proposes an integrated Sharia Financial Literacy-to-Behavior Pathway in which Islamic financial understanding and digital capability shape reflective financial routines and, ultimately, responsible financial behavior. The framework places lifestyle, socialization, trust, religious orientation, perceived risk, and digital exposure as contextual conditions that explain why similar levels of access can lead to different outcomes among young Muslims.
