Author Guidelines

General Information

1. Manuscripts submitted to KHIDMAT: Jurnal Penerapan Ilmu dan Pemberdayaan Berkelanjutan must be original works that have not been published previously in any journal or other publication media, are not under consideration elsewhere, and will not be submitted to another publication during the review process unless officially withdrawn from this journal. Authors must complete a Statement of Originality and Copyright Transfer form (Form A). The journal uses Turnitin Similarity Check to detect potential plagiarism.

2. Submitted manuscripts must involve research or community service activities that comply with applicable ethical and bioethical standards.

3. The journal is published twice a year, in August and December.

Manuscript Preparation

1. Manuscripts must be written in English using clear and standard academic language. Authors whose first language is not English are encouraged to have their manuscripts reviewed by a professional English editing service before submission.

2. Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Graphs should be created using Microsoft Excel, while figures should be submitted in JPEG or PDF format.

3. The manuscript must use Cambria font, size 11 pt, with single spacing.

4. Manuscripts should be approximately 9–15 pages on A4 paper, with margins of 2.5 cm (top), 2.5 cm (left), 2 cm (right), and 2 cm (bottom). The text should be justified and arranged in a single-column format, except for large tables or figures that require different formatting for readability.

5. The manuscript should contain the following sections: Introduction, Method, Results and Discussion, Conclusion and Suggestions, Acknowledgment, and References.

6. The title should be concise, informative, and accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.

7. Author names must be written below the title, followed by institutional affiliation and e-mail address.

8. The abstract must be written in English and should briefly describe the objective, methods, and main findings of the study in a single paragraph.

9. Authors are encouraged to follow appropriate reporting guidelines, such as STROBE (observational studies), SRQR (qualitative studies), PRISMA (systematic reviews), CARE (case reports), and CONSORT (clinical trials).

10. Provide 3–5 keywords that represent the main topics of the article.

11. Manuscripts must follow the APA 7th edition referencing style.

12. References should primarily consist of scholarly sources published within the last six years.

13. Manuscripts must be prepared according to the official KHIDMAT manuscript template.

Submission Procedure

1. Manuscripts must be submitted in .doc or .docx format through the journal’s Open Journal System (OJS) after authors create an account.

2. The corresponding author must complete all metadata accurately, including author names, affiliations, e-mail addresses, and brief biographies.

3. For manuscripts with multiple authors, each author must be added separately through the “Add Author” feature in the metadata submission step.

4. All communication regarding the manuscript, including editorial decisions and reviewer comments, will be conducted through the e-mail registered in the OJS system.

5. Authors may track the progress of their submission by logging into the journal website.

6. For inquiries regarding submission, authors may contact the editorial office through the journal’s official e-mail address and download the manuscript template from the journal website.
