Pendidikan Karakter Berbasis Kearifan Lokal: Strategi Penguatan Nilai Moral, Toleransi, dan Solidaritas Sosial pada Generasi MudaMeki Jihandra

Abstrak

Purpose: This article examines character education grounded in local wisdom as an approach to strengthening moral values, tolerance, and social solidarity among young people amid social change and digital culture.

Design/Methodology: The study employs a conceptual literature review and thematic synthesis of scholarship on character education, culturally responsive pedagogy, social learning, global citizenship, and cultural heritage. It does not claim to present survey findings or field observations.

Findings: The analysis suggests that character develops when role modelling, dialogue across differences, mutual cooperation, ethical reflection, and authentic assessment are implemented in an integrated manner. Local wisdom serves as a learning resource that should be examined critically and inclusively.

Practical Implications: Schools, families, young people, and communities can develop social service projects, consent-based cultural documentation, deliberative forums, and participatory assessments that respect diversity.

Originality/Value: The article proposes a Recognize–Discuss–Practice–Reflect–Evaluate framework to connect local cultural values with observable ethical behaviour.
