Purpose: This article examines how artificial intelligence reshapes everyday social behaviour, digital ethics, and interpersonal relationships, with attention to the unequal distribution of opportunities and risks.
Design/Methodology: The study adopts a qualitative conceptual literature review. It compares scholarship on algorithmic governance, mediated communication, digital labour, privacy, sociotechnical systems, and responsible AI. No primary interviews or survey data are claimed.
Findings: The synthesis identifies interconnected mechanisms involving automated recommendations, delegated decisions, conversational agents, datafication, and asymmetries of power. Their consequences depend on institutional accountability, digital literacy, social context, and human oversight.
Practical Implications: Universities, families, regulators, and technology providers should strengthen critical AI literacy, data protection, inclusive access, transparency, and opportunities for meaningful human interaction.
Originality/Value: The article proposes a Context–Agency–Accountability–Relationship framework for analysing when AI supports human flourishing and when it erodes trust or autonomy.
